Help us build.
There is no purpose built in-patient hospice in Serbia which means the majority of terminally ill cancer sufferers die in pain and without dignity.
The new hospice will allow us to provide free end of life care for so many more patients. We will also be able to support many more families who feel helpless seeing their loved ones suffering.
We have bought the building, had plans approved and started the development of Phase 1 which will allow us to introduce two new services – a day-care centre and an out-patient service – in addition to our home care service. Phase 1 will be completed by the end of 2017. Phase 2, which includes the in–patient unit, will be completed by the end of 2018.
Its completion will realise the hopes of BELhospice’s medical staff who want to do so much more for their patients
“My first and biggest dream is to see the opening of the first ever in-patient hospice in Serbia, after many years of perseverance and hard work by BELhospice.
My second wish is to acquire new skills and experiences in that very hospice which would allow me to better help my patients to live the rest of their lives with dignity and without pain.
My third dream is to have many medical professionals and other professionals involved in hospice care attending our educational programs to spread the philosophy and principles of the modern hospice movement”.
Help us make this dream a reality by donating to our appeal.
